Much of the recent focus of the climate change debate has been on "global warming" related to changes in greenhouse gases, and their impact on the radiative equilibrium of the Earth's atmosphere. However, another aspect of interest to this debate "global dimming" related to the effects of aerosols or particulates in the atmosphere, has seemingly been given considerably less attention. This thread compiles some discussions from forum posts and blog posts related to this other phenomenon associated with climatological variability.
